Pincerna is cruelty free, vegan and kosher friendly with all our products made from the finest fruit, vegetable oils and butters. Our emulsifiers are used in the vegan ice cream industry and all our preservatives are ecologically friendly. We create products that are harmonious with nature and feed your skin with valuable vitamins and minerals.

The unfortunate irony for most vegetarians is that many emulsifiers are made from pig fats. Even if the ingredients look good with a range of vegetable oils and butters, the chemical names of products derived from vegetable compared to those derived from animal are identical.

Many animal products are also used as cheap filtering agents to ‘clean’ up raw ingredients so they loose their natural smell and become more westernised.

Pincerna uses only fruit and vegetable based natural ingredients that are unfiltered and unrefined. No Pincerna raw ingredient passes through the mass market refining factories in Holland. The preparation of all our ingredients is by hand as nature intended.

Many cosmetics ingredients are refined using Hexane which is a cheap solvent made from crude oil. Solvent extraction is basically a process of diffusion of a solvent into oil-bearing cells of the raw material resulting in a solution of the oil in solvent.

Hexane whose chemical structure is CH 3 (CH 2) CH 3 causes mild central nervous system effects including dizziness, giddiness, slight nausea, and headache. Chronic (long-term) exposure to hexane in air is associated with polyneuropathy in humans, with numbness in the extremities, muscular weakness, blurred vision, headache, and fatigue observed.

Pinerna ingredients are cold-pressed or naturally distilled. Our suppliers use timeless tribal techniques of muslin filtering to separate oils and butters.

All our products are made from natural ingredients so we have no need for cruelty animal testing in laboratories. Our ingredients have been tested by humans for thousands of years in the voyage of discovery by African tribes.
